With the onset of hot days in the region, the number of deaths of holidaymakers in water bodies has become more frequent. Only over the one day, three people died in the water bodies of the Donetsk region, the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported.
The first case occurred in one of the city ponds of the Dobropolsky district. The fighters of the SES dragged the body of a man born in 1992 from the water. He drowned while swimming in the pond.
On the same day, as early as 01:39 PM, the employees of the 9th State Fire and Rescue Squad left for Pokrovsk, where a 12-year-old girl died during a water rest.
Already at 11:05 PM in Bakhmut in the pond Severny, rescuers took the body of a guy, born in 1998.
In total, 17 personnel and 4 units of equipment were involved from the General Directorate.
Rescuers of the Donetsk region urge citizens to observe the safety rules during water recreation and to choose only places specially designated for bathing. Otherwise, the stay on the pond can turn into tragic consequences for vacationers.
