On September 26, rescue workers of the Donetsk region received specialized equipment worth $ 58,000 to provide medical, fire and rescue assistance to the population living in Ukraine affected by the conflict. This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service.

Citizens Safety Centers operating in the Donetsk region received 13 modern first aid kits, 13 mannequins for mastering such assistance, 13 automated external defibrillators, laptops, SSD drives, projectors and projector screens.

“All this was provided to the Citizens Safety Centers under the UN Program for the Restoration and Development of Peace and with the financial support of the European Union and the governments of Denmark, Sweden and Switzerland,” – the report said.

The equipment will be used for training by employees of the Rescue Service for the public, which is the key to the effective operation of Citizens Safety Centers.

“We are pleased to continue cooperation with the UN Program for the restoration and development of peace throughout the Donetsk region, and today our joint efforts to improve security have become even more effective. All of us, local residents, are very grateful for such help and look forward to further fruitful cooperation,” – Alexey Migrin, the head of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk region, said.
