The National Bank will gradually withdraw from circulation a coin in denomination of 25 kopecks. Such a message was made by the press service of the National Bank of Ukraine.
According to the NBU, in contrast to coins of 1, 2, and 5 kopecks, 25 kopecks will be in cash circulation so that they can be calculated.
“But those coins that will go to banks will not be returned back into circulation and gradually they will disappear,” – the message said.
We recall that coins in denominations of 1, 2 and 5 kopecks will no longer be used as means of payment in Ukraine from October 1. They will no longer be accepted during settlements for goods and services, and the NBU will withdraw these coins from circulation. At the same time, citizens will be able to exchange these coins for coins and banknotes of other denominations without restrictions and free of charge over the next three years.
