The average salary in Ukraine exceeded the pre-crisis July rate and approached a historically record high, which was in December 2013, but still remains lower than in half of the CIS countries.

“With the strengthening of the hryvnia against the dollar in 2019, the July average salary in Ukraine became the largest in history for this month in dollar terms,” – the publication said.
At the same time, the Ukrainian average salary in nominal dollar terms remains less than in half of the CIS countries.
“In the ranking of CIS, the countries such as the Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Moldova are ahead of Ukraine. The Ukrainian average accrued salary is higher than in all other Central Asian and South Caucasian countries, except Georgia, but it is no longer in the CIS,” – the author of the publication notes.
