Modern equipment and a working pool – there has been no educational institutions of this level in Konstantinovka.
For a long time ago, it has never been so crowded in the courtyard of the School No. 1 in Konstantinovka. Today, on the day of the start of the new school year, a school was opened here, defined as a hub educational institution in Konstantinovka.
Igor Stokoz, the deputy chairman of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Sergei Davydov, the mayor, with his deputy Tatyana Kovalenko came to the celebratory assembly to School No. 11.
The school assembly ended very quickly – after the welcome speeches of the guests and the acting headmaster of the school Inna Gnidenko, as well as several speeches of schoolchildren, the celebratory assembly was completed. Everyone wanted to take a walk along the corridors of the new school.
Parents and guests were pleased with multimedia boards in classrooms, modern computers, equipment for physics classrooms, special desks with sinks for chemistry lessons, recreation areas in the corridors, a renovated dining room, cozy toilets, locker rooms and shower rooms.
The pride of the school is a restored swimming pool. This is the only school in the city where children can learn to swim.
In addition to major repairs of the building, a soccer field, a zone for training on exercise machines, a treadmill, a basketball court and even a mini field for field hockey appeared on the territory of the hub school.
More than 70 million UAH from the regional budget was spent to “reset” the School No. 1.
More than 600 students sat down to desks in the repaired, equipped with the most modern technology classes. According to Olga Barabash, the head of the city department of education, the school is filled with 85% of pupils. Such a high figure is due to the fact that the pupils of the gymnasium and School No. 1 study in the renovated building after the merger.
- From this year, the first three classes will gain knowledge here. School No. 1 has so far become the only one in the city, where single-seat desks and necessary didactic material for the “New Ukrainian school” have already been purchased,” – Olga Viktorovna commented. – In total, 667 first-graders will be studying by the new standards in Konstantinovka, 28 of them are formed. We will purchase school desks and other equipment in September-October for these children – it all depends on how quickly the suppliers can fulfill our order.
