Several million Ukrainians annually go to work in Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany and the Baltic countries. How much they get paid there, “KP in Ukraine” knows.

Poland

Most often today, Ukrainians go to work in Poland. And it is easier to draw up documents, and there are many vacancies.

“Finding a job is easy in Poland,” – Svetlana says. She went to work three times. She tried to get permission to work in Germany, but for several months she wasn’t offered anything. Therefore, she will go to Poland again. According to her, there she works in a factory, on a conveyor belt, or at a harvest. Last time, she worked five to six days a week, 12 hours a day.

It’s hard to work, but they paid her 19-20 thousand UAH a month. Although qualified professionals - turners, welders - can earn a half to two times more. Residents of the capital do not consider this income so high. But the woman in her previous job in a small town in Western Ukraine received two thousand UAH a month, and the Polish salary will do for her.

The Czech Republic

There are also many vacancies for Ukrainians here, but the working conditions for our fellow citizens, to put it mildly, are terrible. Sometimes you get slave working conditions: you are offered to work for 12-14 hours six days a week or just a day off. According to experts, after working in this mode for half a year, then health problems will have to be solved.

“I worked at a construction site for four months,” – a 29-year-old Andrei from Morshin says. - It is difficult, but you can withstand, and earn for 40-45 thousand UAH per month. My friend at a construction site in another city received 50 thousand a month. However, the living conditions were much worse: if the accommodation in the hostel (a room for four) was paid for by the employer, then they lived in barracks, in rooms for 18 people.

The Baltic States

In Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania, an average of 800-1000 Euros is paid to Ukrainian foreigners. Here most often technicians, drivers, builders and managers are required.

A graduate of the University of Tartu, Oksana from Dnipro, immediately found a job as a programmer in Tallinn:

- We agreed on 1,200 euros "net of any taxes" per month, although colleagues are paid more.

But according to the girl, the difference is not due to citizenship, but rather due to the fact that there is no work experience. But it’s enough for Oksana, and she is pleased that she has rented the first “independent housing” in her life.

Germany

Experts say that lately the demand for Ukrainian workers in Germany has increased. Salaries are higher there, and working conditions are better. Welders earn well - up to 75,000 UAH a month, on average 65,000 UAH are received by general workers. Nearly 30 thousand UAH nannies and waiters receive. The salary of 35-40 thousand UAH is in German factories, 50 thousand UAH each is offered to auto mechanics.

However, the cost of food and accommodation in Germany is higher, so one cannot bring home much more "net of any taxes" than from Poland.
