It would seem that everything is over. But for those, who faced the shelling of their home in a peaceful urban village, that ill-fated evening will remain in memory forever.
As we have already reported, an unprecedented crime was committed in Konstantinovka a few days ago. The company of relatively young people celebrated the Forgiveness Sunday while drinking alcoholic beverages. Then, the drunken men got into the car and decided to ride "at rapid-fire pace" through the streets of Novoselovka. One of them had a firearm with him and opened the car window and began firing into the air. According to the drunken person, the shooting was harmless, but “stray bullets don't care who they hit”. And it found a target. Glass of plastic windows was pierced on the facade of a private house, brickwork of the fence was also damaged. The bullets even damaged the roof.
We decided to go to the scene of the incident and personally speak with the victims. Panfilova Street in the village and the house, which has been sounded familiar for several days, was indicated by the local residents. At nine in the morning the hostess Galina Pavlovna was on the street. She is 61 years old, her spouse is 63, they live together. It would seem peace and quiet. But it was only by luck that they were alive and unharmed on the 8th of May. The fact that they were inside the house saved them. They did not want to recall the unpleasant event, but nevertheless.
- That evening, at about 6:03 PM, my husband was watching TV, and I was cleaning the corridor, when suddenly I heard loud, gun-like claps. Then, I noticed through the window the roof of a passing red-brick car, - the woman says.
After everything was quiet, the hostess called the police. The investigative team arrived in a few minutes. The victims were supported by the neighbors. Fortunately, there were a number of houses where surveillance cameras were installed. Thanks to this, the investigators quickly identified the shooter and his team along with the car. All participants in the crime are residents of the village. That evening, all the neighbors came to support the victims, they were with them deep into the night. This is not easy to brave it out, especially when you 60-something.
- The suspect's mother came to me to ask for forgiveness for her son. As a woman who is also a mother and grandmother, I understand her well, but the conversation did not work out at the same time. After all, we could no longer exist. - We are now waiting for a pension to order new windows in return for damaged ones, - the woman notes. - I just want this to never happen again with anyone from residents of Konstantinovka. Although no one is immune from innocently dying in their own yard from bullets fired by drunk people in your direction. There are too many weapons on hand.
The suspect is detained. The criminal proceedings under Art. 296 C. 4 “Hooliganism with the use of firearms” are initiated by fact of a heinous crime. The attacker will face 8 years in prison.
