The mayor of Mariupol plans to run for the next term. He stated this at a meeting with local journalists.
Vadim Boychenko said that he received many proposals with vacancies, but he was more interested in the development of Mariupol, especially since large-scale projects had been launched in the city, which needed more than five years to be implemented.
He told reporters that the main goal of recommending him for another term as a mayor is the implementation of all ideas that will help change Mariupol.
The mayor also noted that he wanted to create a special system in the city that will work regardless of who comes to power.
"It is important that citizens are accustomed to high standards. Then it will be already difficult for the next mayor. He will need to meet and be better," – the mayor said.
Vadim Boychenko also shared his ambitious plans to make Mariupol one of the five best cities in Ukraine.
