Today, on August 23, on the Day of the National Flag of Ukraine, patriots will raise the 20-meter flag of Ukraine to the sky of the Donetsk region in Avdeevka.
The cloth of 120 square meters, weighing 7 kilograms will be launched into the sky above the territory beyond the control of the Ukrainian authorities. Thus, activists want to congratulate with national holidays those Ukrainians who are on the other side.
In all respects, this idea claims a record for Ukraine, since a flag of this size will be first launched into the sky.
The flag was made by Angelina Shostak, the resident of Bakhmut. Earlier, two flags made by her were already entered the record book.
The handywoman told that the uniqueness of this flag was that the materials for its manufacture were purchased by funds collected by residents of the uncontrolled territories and volunteers.
The organizers invite journalists, singers who will be able to perform the anthem and become the voice of the event, as well as all those wishing to witness the grandiose launch of the national flag.
