Reconstruction of the thermal power plant of Slavyansk will cost the Ukrainian budget 19.09 billion UAH (684.3 million dollars). The works will be performed by the Chinese company Dongfang Electric International Corporation. The Donbassenergo PJSC signed the agreement on December 20 after the results of the tender were announced. This is reported by News of Donbass.
It is planned that the reconstruction of the power unit of station No. 6 will be completed in the autumn of 2024. It will be divided into blocks 6A and 6B, with a capacity of 360 MW each, which will operate using circulating fluidized bed.
According to the customer, block 6B is planned to be put into operation in July 2022. Block 6A will be put into operation in July 2023. Coal of gas brand will be used on the new blocks.
The station will be equipped with boilers of Dongfang Boiler Group Co., Ltd (China).
According to the requirements of the tender, the winner must attract loan financing in the amount of at least 85% of the project cost for a period of at least 15 years.
