On September 28, the Ukrainian Philanthropists Forum announced the names of the winners of the ranking of Ukrainian charitable organizations in 2018.
As a year ago, the Borys Kolesnikov’s Foundation became the leader of the nomination “Funds for the development of science and education of Ukraine” in the segment of philanthropists with a budget from 10 to 100 million UAH per year.
The Borys Kolesnikov’s Foundation was founded in 2008. Its activity is focused on educational projects for students of technical specialties.
In the 2017-2018 academic years, the Foundation implemented seven all-Ukrainian competitions for ambitious and talented youth. Projects "Aviator", "Architect", "Railroadman", "Agro", "Food technologies", "Marine business" and "Programmer" united almost 15 000 students of leading universities of the country. About 400 winners of educational initiatives visited prestigious industry forums around the world, passed master classes, adopted the experience of foreign specialists.
Over 10 years of the Foundation's existence, tens of thousands of young specialists – current designers, engineers, managers of leading domestic and international companies – have joined its projects. For many people, the Foundation's programs served as an incentive for career growth, opening up new horizons, a chance to realize dreams.
Borys Kolesnikov, the President of the charitable foundation, thanked the Ukrainian philanthropic forum for the high appreciation of the Foundation's activities. He noted that he would continue investing in the young elite of Ukraine, supporting prospective students, including organizing internships in foreign production, allocating grants for the implementation of the best business ideas, and stimulating development in professions.
The national ranking of philanthropists is an independent rating of charitable organizations that publish their annual tax reports and thereby confirm the transparency and accountability of activities at the all-Ukrainian level. Every year the Ukrainian Philanthropists Forum announces the leaders of its rating by October 1 – the Day of Charitable Foundations in Europe.
