On May 20, during the inauguration, Vladimir Zelensky announced the dissolution of the Verkhovna Rada. Alexander Vilkul, the deputy head of the parliamentary faction of the Opposition Bloc, called this decision political. At the same time, the people's deputy expressed readiness for the elections.
- The decision of Zelensky to dissolve parliament is not a legal one, this is a political decision. Its adoption was evident a couple of weeks ago," - Alexander Vilkul told reporters. - We do not care when the election will be held. We are ready for the elections; we have a strong program, a strong team.
The oppositionist also noted that from a legal point of view there are different opinions regarding the issue of the dissolution of parliament.
