Two new youth centers appeared in the Donetsk region. It is reported by the press service of the Donetsk Regional Civil-Military Administration.
So, the youth center “Freedom” began its work in the Zvanovskaya joint territorial community (JTC). Repair in the building has not been carried out for more than 30 years. In 2018, 1.4 million UAH was allocated from the regional budget for repairs and 1.3 million UAH from the district budget for the creation and operation of a youth center. The roof was replaced in the building, electric heating was carried out and modern youth space was created.
“Young people of the Zvanovskaya community will be able to implement projects for community development, engage in non-formal education and just drink coffee from a brand new coffee machine in a room with good repair and modern equipment,” – the message says.
As noted, such free spaces should help ensure that young people remain in the community and can "spend their free time meaningfully and interestingly, receive high-quality non-formal education locally."
The second youth center was opened in Pokrovsk on the basis of school No. 4. Old workshops, which were almost out of use, were turned into a place for youth development. Reportedly, this center is interesting because it is the first youth motorcycle center. On the basis of the space, a motorcycle school began to work.
The youth center hosted a movie for socially vulnerable adolescents with the participation of juvenile prevention inspectors, a library where a master class for adolescents and demonstration performances of students of the motor school were held.
We recall that a motorcycle race took place in Pokrovsk, timed to coincide with the opening of the motorcycle school.
