Spokesperson of the Verkhovna Rada, Andriy Parubiy, announced the termination of the work of the parliamentary coalition “European Ukraine”.
He stated this at a plenary session of parliament, Segodnya reported.
First, the spokesperson announced that the parliament had received a statement from the “Narodny Front” to withdraw from the coalition, after which the head of the NF, Maxim Burbak, was given the floor. After his speech, the head of parliament made a statement on the termination of the coalition.
“To the statement of the deputy faction of the “Narodny Front” political party about the withdrawal of the faction from the coalition and in connection with this termination of the coalition’s activity, I announce that today the coalition of deputies’ factions “European Ukraine” in the Verkhovna Rada of the VIII convocation has stopped its work,” – Parubiy said.
He also noted that, according to the provisions of article 7, p. 83 of the Constitution, within one month (from today) a new coalition should be formed. The spokesperson urged representatives of all factions and groups to begin consultations on this issue.
“Let's admit that it was a good coalition,” – the spokesperson of the parliament stressed.
We recall that earlier the Verkhovna Rada appointed the date of the inauguration of Zelensky on May 20.
