The official dollar to hryvnia rate, which is set daily by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), decreased by 13% in January-September 2019.

So, on September 30, 2019, the NBU set the exchange rate at the level of 2408.2809 UAH for $ 100, which is 360.5455 UAH less than on December 31, 2018 (2768.8264 UAH for $ 100).
It is worth noting that the dollar depreciated over most months. However, only in September, the rate fell by 4%.
Earlier, the National Bank explained the reasons for strengthening the hryvnia. The stabilization of the national currency rate was influenced by the favorable market situation and significant volumes of purchases by the non-residents of hryvnia government securities.
