All arrested Ukrainian sailors, whom Russia sends home on Saturday, were released on bail of the Human Rights Ombudsman in Ukraine Lyudmila Denisova, the head of the group of lawyers Nikolai Polozov said, Interfax reported.
“The investigation granted Denisova’s request for personal guarantee,” – he said.
According to him, at present, sailors are preparing to fly home as part of an exchange of persons held by Ukraine and Russia.
The exchange of withheld citizens between Ukraine and Russia should go through the 35 by 35 format. This was reported by Mark Feigin, the defender of the Ukrainian convict Roman Sushchenko.
“According to my information, the exchange will be in the format “35 to 35”. 24 sailors and 11 convicted Ukrainians will be handed over to Ukraine: Sentsov, Suschenko, Evgeny and Arthur Panov, Kolchenko, Klykh, Karpyuk, Grib, Sizonovich, Balukh, Bekirov,” – he said.
Relatives of Ukrainian political prisoners arrived in Kyiv.
