Yesterday, on May 14, a 60-year-old Ukrainian citizen tried to take five million UAH from an occupied Donetsk by car at the “Mariinka” Checkpoint. This is reported by the Joint Forces Operation on Facebook.
The report said that a group of border guards and representatives of the State Fiscal Service of the Joint Forces discovered the money when checking cars. The pensioner hid cash in the seat trim and auto dashboard.
“Law enforcers have withdrawn 3 million 400 000 UAH, more than 50 000 US dollars and about a thousand euro from the equipped caches. The citizen and the discovered funds were transferred to representatives of the investigative department of financial investigations of the SFS to determine the origin of the funds and to take the appropriate legal decision,” – the message says.
