Whenever reporting a burglary, the police warn us not to leave the windows and balcony doors open and not to put the keys to the apartments under the floor mats. But we, unfortunately, continue to do all this, and it is easier for attackers to penetrate our homes. According to the police department of Bakhmut, over the past six months, 5,970 thefts were recorded in the Donetsk region, of which 1,417 were thefts of citizens' personal property.
Most often, thieves get into private houses and apartments on the first floors. Especially during the holidays and weekends. Often, in the offseason, country houses become objects of thefts. Sometimes criminals track down an object for days and weeks, sometimes act spontaneously when they see a dilapidated door or a window that is not tightly closed. And although the police are trying to find thieves without delay, half of the personal property thefts have not yet been solved.
