On September 15, a video appeared in the community on Facebook of Mirnograd, in which teenagers brutally beat an elderly man with his own shovel. It is reported that the incident occurred on the territory of school No. 1 in Mirnograd.
The teenagers published the video in some kind of chat, from where the concerned citizen downloaded it and appealed to the editor.
The activists of Mirnograd’s community appealed to law enforcement agencies, as well as the director of school No 1, the city department of education and other services of Mirnograd with a request to immediately begin an investigation into the incident and punish those responsible for beating an elderly man.
The video was shot personally by one of the attackers. According to the police department of Pokrovsk, yesterday, during investigative activities, offenders were detained and taken to the police station. They were local schoolchildren aged 11 to 15 years. The 71-year-old local resident suffered.
“Sheets on this fact were entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations with preliminary legal qualification, Part 2, Art. 296 "Hooliganism" of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Investigations are ongoing,” – the police reported.
In addition, it turned out that this is not the first time that these teenagers have committed aggressive hooligan acts.
“When this situation was highlighted on our platforms, we were started sending the accounts of these offenders on social networks. We monitored their pages and found in one of them a video that was shot at the end of June about how they were engaged in beating their peers. A little later, we received another video by e-mail about how the same gang tried to attack the miner and take away a package from him at the “Radiouzel” stop at 5/6,” – Alexander Sokolov, the head of the Facebook’s group, says.
According to Alexander Sokolov, this morning they received a video on their resource, which shows that the offenders are already at large, and some of them came to school.
