Veterinary center for homeless animals was opened in Mariupol

A veterinary center for animals began to work in Mariupol. It was opened by medical volunteers.

The work of the Veterinary Assistance Center started in the test mode in Mariupol, on Stroiteley Avenue, 154. There, homeless animals will be treated and sterilized. Also, pets of low-income owners will be provided with urgent help.

According to Galina Lekunova, the head of the volunteer association “Zoocontrol Mariupol”, emergency treatment includes such cases as bleeding, fractures, injuries, open wounds, injuries caused by cars and falls from height.

“This is all we can do for free, as long as we have funds to do it. In the future, it is planned to send a certain percentage of the clinic's income to help homeless animals,” – Galina noted.

It became possible to provide free emergency care thanks to donations and medical volunteers who, over several days of the center's work, already helped 20 homeless animals.
