The implementation of a new law on housing and utility services was postponed to the next year in Ukraine. The text of the relevant bill No. 2454-VIII was published in the official parliamentary newspaper.

It was planned that the law on housing and utility services would come into force on June 10 that year. But the Cabinet of Ministers had not completed the preparation of all subordinate acts, so the introduction of the law was decided to be postponed.

Now the norms of the law on housing and utility services regarding water, gas, heating and electricity, as well as rules on waste management, will be in effect from May 1, 2019. This will happen after the end of the heating season.

Also on August 1, 2020, the implementation of fines for companies, violating the terms of installation of meters for heat, cold and hot water, was postponed.

Since 10th of June, a management system for apartment buildings has been introduced in Ukraine.
