On September 19, during the inspection of the Mercedes-Benz Vito car, a smuggled consignment of goods was found in the facing of the car at the "Gnutovo" Checkpoint near Mariupol. The man tried to smuggle 69 mobile phones Xiaomi, Meizu and Oukitel through the checkpoint. The amount of the goods was 535 095 UAH, the press service of the JFO reports.
The car followed the route Mariupol–Makeyevka.
During the check, the man transporting the smuggled goods offered a bribe of 1 thousand US dollars to the border guards and fiscal workers in order to freely move their cargo to the uncontrolled territory of Ukraine.
Administrative materials were compiled, regarding the violator. The smuggled goods and the car, in which the hideout was found, were seized. The total cost of the withdrawal was 1 million 65 thousand 95 UAH.
The fact of an attempt to provide improper advantage was reported to the National Police.
