The population of Ukraine decreased by 30.5 thousand people during January 2019.
This is reported by the State Statistics Service.
This figure is much bigger than it was in January last year (21.5 thousand).
According to the Statistics Service, the actual population in Ukraine as of February 1, 2019 was 42,122,700 people.
"It remains a significant excess of the number of deaths over the number of born living: per 100 deaths there are 45 born living," – the State Statistics Service said.
As reported, in 2018 the population in our country decreased by 233 thousand – to 42 153 thousand 200 people.
