Yuriy Vitrenko, the sales manager of Naftogaz, said that the amount of fines for the failure of the Russian gas company Gazprom is about $ 100 million today.

This is reported by Novoye Vremya.

According to Vitrenko, the Russian Gazprom will be forced not only to pay a debt of $ 2.5 billion, but also to cover additional expenses for the enforcement of this decision by both Naftogaz and its lawyers.

Vitrenko notes that this is a $ 100 million penalty.

“If we evaluate with the costs of judicial enforcement agents, in fact, it will be about hundreds of millions of dollars, which Gazprom will have to pay in addition to the debt of 2.5 billion dollars. That is, if they had fulfilled this decision, for example in March, then they would have paid only 2.5 billion,” – Vitrenko said.

We recall that in December 2017 Naftogaz won the Stockholm Arbitration Court in the case against Gazprom regarding the gas contract. The court ordered the Russian company to pay compensation in the amount of 4.6 billion dollars. However, the final amount was $ 2.6 billion penalty.
