The Olympic Week starts annually in the schools of Pokrovsk and Mirnograd. This event is timed to the Day of Physical Culture and Sport, which is celebrated in Ukraine on September 7.
Citywide exercises gave start to the Olympic week in Pokrovsk, which took place on Shibankov Square. Schoolchildren, students, athletes, teachers, officials, military – all moved in rhythm of dancing.
Every morning during the week begins with exercises in general education schools of Pokrovsk and Mirnograd. Then the students begin their studies. On this occasion, it is allowed to attend lessons in sports uniform during the entire Olympic week.
Also, on the Day of Physical Culture and Sport in both cities, the athletes were congratulated and awarded with certificates for achievements.
