Officials of "Mirnogradugol" will face trial for negligence

The report states that the judicial investigation about the injury of the 59-year-old electrician was completed and the indictment was sent to the court for consideration.

Officials of the separate division of “Dimitrov Mine” of the State Enterprise “Mirnogradugol” will be tried for non-compliance with the requirements of legislation on labor protection. It is reported by the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Donetsk region.

The report states that the judicial investigation about the injury of the 59-year-old electrician was completed and the indictment was sent to the court for consideration.

During the investigation, it was established that on January 30, 2017, the 32-year-old and 60-year-old electrician did not adhere to the requirements of the current legislation of Ukraine on labor protection and did not take measures to safely perform work with heightened danger. They did not control the use of a hand winch for fixing the fan to the lifting mechanism, as a result of which, the heavy shaft equipment of the fan fell during dismantling. As a result of this, the 59-year-old electrician injured his left foot.

According to the article charged, the maximum term of punishment for violating safety rules during the execution of works with heightened danger is 3 years of imprisonment.

The court will put an end in this case.
