NABU opened a criminal case against Klimkin and Poroshenko

The agency will have to check the facts of a possible malpractice.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau opened a criminal case on possible abuse of power against former Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin and the fifth president of Ukraine, MP Petro Poroshenko.

The criminal proceedings were registered on August 23 by a court decision, which ordered the NABU to initiate an investigation. Production is under Art. 364 - abuse of power or official position.

Earlier, the Solomensky District Court of Kyiv decided that the NABU is obliged to register criminal proceedings on the fact of possible abuse of office and power against the prosecutor general Yuri Lutsenko. The complaint was that on October 13, 2018, Person 1 filed a criminal complaint with the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Andrei Parubiy, about the commission by the Prosecutor General of the criminal offense under Art. 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of power or official position).
