As the city authorities promise, modern optical devices will become an additional guarantor of ensuring road safety.

The essential modernization will concern the traffic lights at two intersections: at the intersection of Lomonosova Avenue and Europeyskaya Street, as well as Lomonosova Avenue and Bohdan Khmelnitsky Street. This was stated by Viktor Vasilenko, the deputy mayor.

- 2.5 million UAH was allocated in order to purchase and install modern traffic lights, which will be equipped with a sound signal and a special board with a time count. We are also discussing the possibility of additional lighting in night-time in the area of the pedestrian crossing on the Lomonosova-Bogdan Khmelnitsky section,” – Victor Vladimirovich explained.

Road marking is another measure that has already been implemented in the city under ensuring the road safety. According to Vasilenko, 200 thousand UAH was spent on this.

The funds for buying traffic lights and road marking were allocated due to the additional subvention, which was recently received by the city.
