On September 6, 2018, the Donetsk Regional Economic Court recognized the ownership of the illegally constructed buildings and structures of the Wildlife Park, located along Metallurgists Avenue in the Kalmiussky district of Mariupol. This means that since September 6 of this year, all the buildings in the park are absolutely legal on urban land.
From the register of court decisions it became known that the City Council of Mariupol did not agree with the decision of the trial court. Therefore, the city authorities appealed to the Donetsk Economic Court of Appeal with an appeal complaint, in which they asked to abolish the decision of the trial court.
However, it turned out that, together with the complaint, the city council asked the court to grant a delay in paying the court fee in the amount of 14,037.75 UAH for filing an appeal before making a decision on the case.
Having considered all the circumstances and given the lack of convincing evidence to defer payment, the court decided to leave the appeal of the City Council of Mariupol without movement. The city council was given a ten-day period to eliminate the shortcomings established at the time of the appeal.
According to local journalists, the shortcomings have not been eliminated. On October 30, the court decision entered into force and is not subject to appeal.
