Collectors' silver coins were stolen in Bakhmut

A local resident appealed to the police department of Bakhmut, who overnight lost the entire collection of antique silver coins. He reported on someone suspected of theft.

A 34-year-old man who came under suspicion repeatedly visited the victim’s house. The man did not have a permanent job, was addicted to alcohol and therefore embarked on his life of crime. As it turned out, having stolen a collection of coins, the suspect handed them over to a pawnshop, and spent the money on alcohol.

After the investigative measures were taken, the silver was returned to the rightful owner. Information about the theft is entered in the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations, and the attacker will face three years in prison or penitentiary community service from 80 to 240 hours.
