Books for blind people and new equipment worth 300 000 UAH were purchased for the library in Bakhmut

New computer equipment was purchased for the library of Bakhmut and books for blind and visually impaired people in addition to it. All literature is in Ukrainian. This was reported by the chairman of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Alexander Kuts on his Facebook page. 300 thousand UAH were allocated for these purposes from the regional budget.

For this, auction was held on ProZorro. Later, after its completion, the equipment was purchased for 262,000,600 UAH. The equipment is unique, thanks to it, blind readers and library visitors will be able to get to know the world better. “Already on June 3, we will be able to conclude an agreement with representatives of the winning company, their specialists will install the necessary programs, conduct training for librarians so that they can further teach and help visitors use the new equipment,” – Tatiana Bilenko, the director of the city centralized library system of Bakhmut, said.

As for the new books, more than two hundred copies of them were delivered to this category of readers in the library. Books were donated by the Republican House of Recording.
