According to the results of August 2019, the average nominal salary of a full-time employee of enterprises, institutions and organizations of Ukraine amounted to 10 537 UAH, which is 434 UAH less than in July (10 971 UAH).
This was reported by the press service of the State Statistics Service.
According to the department, relative to last August, the average salary increased by 17.4%. In August 2019, real wages (adjusted for inflation) increased by 7.7% compared to August last year.
The highest accrued salary in August was in Kyiv - 15 694 UAH, the lowest - in the Chernivtsi region - 8 017 UAH. In most regions, the salary is in the range of 8 000 - 9 000 UAH.
The highest salaries are paid to employees in the field of financial and insurance activities - 18 649 UAH, the lowest - health and social assistance - 7 067 UAH, as well as temporary accommodation and catering - 7 015 UAH and education - 7 349 UAH.
